Review of the product : When people ask me what comics they should be reading I send them The Bean. The art and story are wonderful and engrossing. The characters grow and evolve and have a way of getting inside of your head. This comic is one whose releases I always look forward to.

Review of the product : I love the Bean! Travis's world is extraordinary, but he manages to weave in enough of the everyday to pull the reader into the story. Trolls, goblins, and elves may be standard fantasy fare, but rarely are they characterized so well. If Travis ever put out a full-color version of the Bean, I would buy it. Just sayin'.

Review of the product : In volume two the story really picks up steam fast and this is the volume that sold me in for the entire saga. I kept guessing where the story was heading, and I kept guessing wrong. I was guessing using all the stock fantasy story tropes I have seen everywhere, but the story kept taking unexpected twists. Even though I was wrong, the story made sense and characters stayed true. That is good writing. The art in this volume is also excellent, we get to see a variety of locales and new characters and they are all unique and sharp. I love the look of the world and the races in it, nothing feels out of place. Looking forward to the next volumes and the web updates.

Review of the product : Just as high quality as the first volume, this is absolutely necessary if you want to continue reading. Getting the print volumes makes the story a bit more coherent than reading individual pages online, so I definitely recommend these books to get the full effect of the story. Comes with new bonus content, too--biographies of some of the races of the Broken Moon World. Make sure you pick this up along with your copy of Riddles & Shrooms.
